Stay the course…one of the single most important statements in my life…I heard it several times from my dad.  It was usually spoken during a time when I was considering jumping ship.

I can still hear his steady tone which always conveyed a sense of calm knowing God had everything under control. He even knows our unspoken desires and dreams and is there to help us see them come to pass.

Stay the course means being consistent, steadfast, unwavering, holding to the truth, anchored in the Word.  It means continuing to put one foot in front of the other when it seems like the ground under you is shaking or crumbling.

Stay the course means trusting that tomorrow will be better than today because you’re continuing to move forward.  Stay the course means you’re expecting to see it through until the end.

Stay the course means I’m not moved by fear, naysayers, or my own timing.  I trust the one Who holds my future and so I will stay the course.
