Am I the only person who gets weirded out by watch themselves on video or hearing their own voice in recordings?? As an educator, especially for the last two years (actually a bit more for me) I’ve had to do it more because my classes have been recorded for student when they’re not able to make it to class.
However, the specific incidence I’m referring to is the making of this video that I signed my team up to complete. There’s this video showcase where people doing work in STEM (science, technology, engineering & math) areas with some grant funded projects can enter a video of less than 3 minutes explaining what they’re doing. since I lead the project, I knew I needed to make a cameo for my own professional development, but making cuts to be included felt weird. It’s so much easier for me to just engage in a real conversation about my work and research interests. We didn’t have time to set that up though.
I can’t wait to share!
