The simplest definition of leadership is influencing others to do something while working towards a common goal or agenda. In 2022, I’m focusing on becoming a better leader in all areas of my life. As I grow, I’m sharing lessons and stories along the way. Thanks for tuning in and I hope something I share resonates with you in your leadership (influence) journey. 

Growing up in a family of educators, the importance of being a life-long learner was instilled at an early age. It has stuck with me over the years as I’m always looking for conferences or workshops to attend or new learning groups I can join. Presently, I’m participating in an executive directors’ leadership cohort. The beauty of learning new information and applying it to real-life situations always excites me. With the abundance of You Tube videos, podcasts, internet articles and information, there are so many opportunities to learn a new skill, perfect a hobby, or develop as a leader. If you spend an hour everyday working on an area you can become an expert in that area. Imagine the people you can help or service you can provide with that level of knowledge. It all begins with a commitment to learn and to do it consistently.
