I love FOOD and this week’s black boy company fills the gap for me.
I’ve been seeing news stories about Mr. Cory’s Cookies.
This is another black boy who is being raised by a single mother known as Cookie Mom. This story got its start when then six-year-old Cory decided that he was tired of riding the bus to school. In an effort to buy his mom a car, he began to sell hot cocoa and expanded to other pursuits. Thankfully his mom encouraged him to begin saving for college and that led them to discover baking cookies. In their eyes they developed the perfect chocolate chip cookie and a decade later they’re still forging ahead.
I’m always down for a good chocolate chip cookie and I can’t wait to try this one out!
