We all know who Big Bird is. He’s one of the beloved characters on Sesame Street; a program created to illuminate a child’s imagination and teach them about the world around them.

I remember watching Sesame Street as a kid. PBS programs were my jam back in the day. I learned so much and was entertained in the process.

Imagine my surprise as an adult reading that Big Bird has a political propaganda because he chose to get vaccinated. Sesame Street has always taken adult issues and explained them in a child like manner so kids will know what’s going on in the world around them. Why would talking about the pandemic be any different?

I was disappointed reading some of the articles about Big Bird getting the vaccine.

Does everything now have to be political? Why are adults pushing their own agenda through political channels? And to the media, why did you feel it important to run this story? Will common sense ever come back?
