The Rearview Mirror: A Lesson in Trust

My car has a back up camera screen that comes on when I’m backing up. Although I want to look at it while I’m backing up, another part of me wants to ignore it and look out the back window. I find it hard to trust the screen that was placed there to help.

How many times have we overlooked or bypassed something meant to help us because we had a better solution or wanted to rely on what felt better?  There are safe guards in our lives but we must use them. A safeguard might be healthy boundaries or dietary restrictions. They could be wisdom from a trusted source or a mentor. It could be the Bible or spiritual wisdom.
