Finding Purpose

For the last several years, I have needed glasses or contacts to have clearer vision. When I’m wearing my glasses or contacts, images are so much sharper, colors more vivid and it’s much easier to see.  Imagine waking up each day with such clear vision that you know exactly where to go, how you will get there and what you will do when you get there.  That kind of vision allows you to face each day with excitement because you can see where you are going. There is no guessing at what’s in front of you or squinting your eyes to make out words.

This clear vision is possible. It requires that you know your purpose and chase it with diligence and tenacity. Even when distractions or disruptions come up, you are immediately drawn back to your vision.

If you’re not sure of your purpose, spend some time asking God for direction. Think about those things that interest you most and bring the most fulfillment. Consider what burdens you and you can’t stop thinking about it. What needs have you noticed that you have an answer or solution to? When these things collide, you are getting close to your purpose. Go after that with a clear vision of how you’ll get there.
