I have a prescription to wear corrective lenses, but I rarely wear them except at night. Today, I decided to wear them during the day and I’m amazed at how clear everything is. I can see rich colors and the distinction between blades of grass. The clouds look sharper in the blue sky. The dust on my dashboard is very evident. These are all things that were there before but I just couldn’t see them without my contacts.
How much have life have we missed out on or not seen because our focus is off? Are there things we would have done differently if we had a different or better perception? What if our vision was made more clear from discovering our purpose and particular assignment(s) in life?
The good news is it’s never too late to readjust our focus. Our perception of situations can change if we are open to seeing what is really there. Our vision can become clear if we ask God for guidance. The tools we need are around us just as my contact lenses were always there. We just need to take the step and use the tools we have.
- What areas do you need to sharpen your focus?
- Do you need to adjust your perception?
- Are you using all the resources at your disposal to get the best results?
Take time today to realign and get in focus. Your will reap the benefits.
