I currently work as an office manager for an outpatient behavioral clinic. My clinic provides counseling and medication management services for kids ages 4 to 17. We are very busy at this present moment.
I honestly don’t know if that is a good or bad thing. Why do I say that? Glad you asked. Our influx of services means that parents recognize that their children are suffering something. Be it anxiety, isolation, behavioral issues, or depression. But it also makes me wonder how long have the kids been silent about their issues. How many more are suffering and just haven’t said anything?
If we are seeing kids at the rate then I hope adults are seeking services as well. Mental health is still one of the most misunderstood components of Healthcare and in my opinion the most undervalued.
Your mental well-being is so important. And please don’t take it lightly when someone confides in you that something is wrong.

Happy Saturday!!
