Timing is Everything
I was throwing the football with my son and realized timing is everything. We were practicing him running to catch a pass in the air. I was the passer. He was the runner/catcher. My first couple throws were so bad in terms of timing that he said, “Mama, I’ll just tell you when to throw it.” So, he would take off running and then yell “throw it”. Those throws were much better.
It was then that I realized timing is everything. If I throw the ball too far ahead, my son can’t reach out. If I throw it behind him, he has to slow down to get it and that’s poor strategy. There’s a perfect time to release the throw where he can reach it and not break his stride running. There’s a lot more to passing and catching than meets the eye.
Many times we find ourselves in the wrong timing. We move ahead of time when things are not ready or we move after the fact and we’ve missed an opportunity. There are also times when we might miss the catch even when the timing is right. I often find myself praying for wisdom, direction and discernment. If we do, He promises to give us wisdom so we can make the right decision with the right timing.
Are there times when you moved too soon or too late?
Are you paying attention to the timing of your goals and how your vision plays out?

Some times I look back on situations and wonder if I moved too soon/late, but then when I’m completely on the other side of it then I can see how God used it all for His Glory and my Favor and the timing was perfect.
