First Black Women of Congress

Let’s get this party started. There’s never a need to wait for February to role around to celebrate Black Excellence! Anytime it comes to my attention that there are knowledge gaps running amok when it comes to the history of MY people, I’m gonna set the record straight, please believe.

So for today’s contribution I decided to get a little fancy for y’all. I present the short primer on the First Black Women of Congress for your educational and viewing pleasure. Remember, we don’t have to rely on other people to teach us about us. We can read (and watch) for ourselves.
