Before everyone gets too far into the new year I just wanted to say thank you to each and every one of you for rocking with me through one of my most amazing transformations. I have finally stepped into my full artist mode and it feels good to honor this part of who I am for the first time in a very long time.

When 2020 began I had to take a hard look at everything I had going on and be honest about what was missing. I made a plan and put it in motion and now, here we are days into 2021 and I’ve submitted to and done very well at two film festivals from my travel adventure web series “Go Marta, GO!” and I’ve produced a video podcast called “Showing Our Sass”.

And if that wasn’t enough, I also produced my first full length feature vlogumentary “XL” (2020) which is officially listed on my IMDB profile as of today.

I am a filmmaker…wow, that still seems wonderfully strange to say.

All of this work helped my grow my YouTube channel from 8 subscribers in March to 81 as of a few moments ago and while that might seem small to some, every single one of those 81 followers represents a person in my life who took the time to show me that they rock with me and don’t mind letting the world know they believe in my vision and I am thankful for each and everyone of y’all.

STOP PRESSING PAUSE

If there is something pulling at your heart you owe it not only to yourself but to the world to explore the calling on your life. And here’s the thing, it’s not always going to be fun. It’s not always going to be free of stress. You WILL have moments when you question whether or not it would be easier to live a different, more standard kind of life. But please believe me when I tell you that what you might perceive as “safe” really isn’t. So why not do what you’re meant to do if there’s going to be risk no matter what?

Every day is a great day to say yes and step into the work you were made to do here in this place and time and season so just do it already. Stop pressing pause on yourself and get busy blessing the world with your talents.
