Happy 2021! I hope everyone had a safe and enjoyable holiday. I was fortunate to travel home to see my family. That trip was a great way to end 2020. It was so therapeutic to spend time with my family and love on one another.

Last year, I decided to pick a theme word for 2020. My word was discover. I had a different viewpoint of how that word be for me in 2020 before the pandemic hit.

Due to our current circumstances, I ended up learning more about myself during the time of stillness. I honestly thought I was going to be on the go during 2020. Below are just a snapshot of a few things I discovered about myself.

1. Being by myself is okay.
2. It’s okay to feel defeated and ask for help.
3. I really brighten people’s day more than I realize.

For 2021, I have chosen the word evolve. The dictionary defines evolve as: to come forth gradually into being; develop; undergo evolution. I plan to continue to focus more of myself which in turn will increase my growth in other areas in my life.
