I released my first, full length indie vlogumentary today and I’m still feeling a bit of awe. I did it. This passion project that I’ve nurtured for really more than a year is online and being viewed by people who want to hear my stories.
Everything has a point of origin and well, the same can be said if my now award winning 🙌🏾 web series, Go Marta, GO!
For a very long time I have dreamed of being able to travel all around the world seeing sights and meeting people and soaking up the experiences of the unseen and forgotten spaces of our existence. In small ways I have done just that most of my life but as my 40th birthday approached I could feel a burning desire to do more.
When the COVID-19 Pandemic hit it threatened to derail my plans but the opportunity presented itself for me to carry boldly on and have an experience that I will never forget.
XL – Episode One is the first in the trilogy that chronicles my adventure of self discovery while riding coast to coast on Amtrak in Summer 2020. The total trip consisted of over 183 train hours, stops in 22 states and the District of Columbia and breathtaking views of my native land.
If you want to see something new and beautiful that I experienced with my whole heart, take a spell and travel with me as I ride Amtrak coast to coast and reflect on the realities of long distance travel in the United States of America during an unprecedented pandemic.
