Many times we want a straight path to our dream, but it doesn’t always happen that way. Life may take us on twists and turns and we may experience things we didn’t see coming. But just because the journey is different from our expectations, doesn’t mean it is any less worth it. The end goal of seeing our dreams come to pass is still worth it. 

I remember working at a job that eventually just became a means to an end. I was unhappy and ready to move on but remained there for years. The journey had twists and turns and I expected things to go differently but in the end, my time there ended and I moved into a better position. If I had given up on my dream to do something else, I might still be stuck there. But I persevered and I continued to ride out the journey. I showed up every day and did my best work. When the right opportunity presented itself, I was ready. 

If you’re in a place of discomfort or waiting for the next thing, don’t give up on your dream. It’s still there but you may go through obstacles along the way. Be willing to learn from them. Don’t get offended or frustrated with the process. Keep working and being faithful where you are. Remain prayerful and at the right time, you’ll see the dream come to pass.
