I realized last Sunday that I’ve been living under a musical rock. Social media was buzzing and so was my inbox. Why?

The new black anthem is AMAZING. THOUGHT PROVOKING. AND PLAYED DAILY DURING MY WORK COMMUTE.

The first time I listened to the song I was flooded with memories of quartet groups my dad played when I was younger. Then I payed attention to the lyrics and went into praise mode. Why? Because it clearly sums up how I feel right living as a Black women in the United States of America. I am striving to still be loving but patience is running thin because people are behaving in disrespectful ways and thinks it is okay. If you think it is let me tell you…IT IS NOT.
