I’m sure by now y’all have seen the numerous comments about the Super Bowl halftime show. Love it or Hate it that show got a lot of women back in the gym on Monday morning… It was Motivation. To see women in their 40s and 50s perform like they did and look like they do encouraged a lot of folks to pick back up those New Year’s resolutions related to working out more.
What’s funny is I was going to talk about motivation today anyway…
I was in the grocery store on Saturday and ran into a lady that attended the same small group workouts that I did last year before our wonderfully talented personal trainer ditched us to spend more time with her kids (ok I would’ve done the same thing, but I’m still salty because she was da bomb). Thankfully I was in the produce section looking for salad greens and mushrooms rather than the bulk foods section getting dark chocolate almonds (oh I got those too). But this lady commented on my FB workout posts and how they motivate her to find another gym and workout option because she sees how I’m still going strong.
Wait! What? Me? Going Strong? Ha!
That conversation got me thinking because anyone who knows me for real for real knows that I don’t really post a lot. I’ll occasionally remember to share something workout related once a week or so, but it was more so for FB memories to remind me of what I have done to motivate myself later. I NEVER thought that my posts would motivate someone else! Oh, so y’all are about to get ALL of the workout FB and IG posts now!
Let’s continue to motivate each other to do better, to be better.
