Today is the first day of Black History Month. It’s a great time of year for reflection and learning. There is so much to learn about the African American culture. I am still amazed that I learn something new each day.

My hope is people truly seek out knowledge. Do not rely on mainstream media. Take time to talk with your elders. Take time to read a book. Take time to guide a younger person. Take time to enjoy your Blackness in its full glory.
