In this rat race of what we call life, we all need rest. Most of us rarely take time for self care, rest, meditation and re-fueling. Our bodies are only meant to run for so long before rest is required. If you don’t voluntarily give it rest, it will make you give it rest—usually in a negative way.
For the last couple weeks, I’ve forced myself not to work on some projects and goals because I needed time to rest. Rest affords us the opportunity to reevaluate our lives, hear from God, get back on track, become reenergized and replenish what may have become lost.
Taking much-needed rest isn’t a sign of weakness or laziness, but a wise choice to keep from getting stuck in unproductive cycles. Without rest, our bodies can’t function at their maximum capabilities.
Are you getting enough rest?
Do you make time for self care and attending to your needs?
Do you stop and reevaluate your life, purpose and mission?
Do you meditate often?
Enjoy the beauty of rest and discover how much more productive you’ll be!
