How many times have you told someone you would call them so you could catch up for lunch? Or you would one day join the gym and begin a healthier lifestyle? Or maybe you told yourself you’d like to get closer to the Lord or read your Bible more? Maybe you thought you’d like to do more things with your children. All of those things are wonderful aspirations but they will not get done without intentionality. Having lunch with a friend or a prospective donor requires reaching out to schedule lunch. Joining the gym requires you completing the necessary paperwork and getting a membership. Getting closer to the Lord requires daily effort of praying, studying and reading the Word. Doing more things with your children takes intentional thought, time and planning.
We will never reach our goals or live a truly fulfilling life if we do not act with intentionality. Intentionality requires discipline and commitment. You must be in control of your time and able to manage your time wisely.
What goals have you set so far this year? What is your plan to make them happen? In what ways are you being intentional in your actions?
