Transformative Thursdays: Turning Over New Leaves

As I was sitting at my son’s pre-kindergarten graduation, surrounded by family and other excited parents, I was reminded that with all the pomp and circumstance of this day, it would soon be over. It would be time for a new day, another adventure and the turning of a new leaf. We should enjoy the moment, treasure the memory, and soak up the excitement, but we must also be looking for the next adventure.

With the ending of one chapter, a new one awaits. Have you ever thought about what would happen if we just decided to stop after pre-kindergarten graduation and never walk through the doors of kindergarten? What if we were somehow satisfied with knowing our letters, a few numbers, the colors & how to write our first name but not motivated enough to learn how to write sentences or do addition facts? What would our world look like? What would our lives look like?

In a society where we have access to so many wonderful opportunities and new leaves to turn over, we should always be lifelong learners and soaking up new opportunities. We should look forward to learning something new and all the challenges and rewards that come from turning over new leaves.

Is it time for you to close one chapter and begin a new one? Have you ended one cycle and are you ready to move into a new one? Is it time to turn a new leaf? If you answered “yes”, then it’s time to get moving! It’s time to embrace your new season and continue on your journey. If you are ready to begin, but somehow can’t move, you can start by reading my latest book, “Beyond Stuck: Creating the Life You Want”.
