Several months ago, I decided to try a new lipstick. Now, this wasn’t just any kind of lipstick. It was a special kind that doesn’t rub off or wear off until you literally scrub it off. At the time, it sounded like the perfect lipstick—one I wouldn’t have to reapply throughout the day. Once in the morning and done….right? Well, I tried it and discovered there is a certain technique you have to use in applying it that takes longer than the five seconds it takes me to apply my “normal” lipstick. Needless to say, I haven’t started using it yet! I just do not have time to add a few extra minutes to my morning routine for something that really doesn’t have a high priority on my list.
Sometimes, things seem like a good idea or perhaps we get caught up in the moment and want to try something new. But sometimes, those things just don’t work out. They don’t fit in with our lives or the path in which we are traveling. It doesn’t mean that it is necessarily a bad thing, it just isn’t the right fit for us. Rather than trying to make it be the right fit, we have to let it go and look for the right fit.
Once you know what your purpose, destiny and goal is, keep going towards that. There will be many distractions (many of which are good things) along the way but don’t get off course. You will lose valuable time and resources. Stay focused and keep moving!
