Funkadelic Friday: In HIS Presence

Just as I am, without one plea, But that Thy blood was shed for me, And that Thou bid’st me come to Thee, O Lamb of God, I come! I come!

Just as I am, and waiting not. To rid my soul of one dark blot; To Thee whose blood can cleanse each spot, O Lamb of God, I come, I come!”

I learned this song by watching the Billy Graham crusades on television.  George Beverly Shea’s booming baritone voice sang out these words during the invitation with complete conviction.  It was amazing seeing the OCEANS of people come forward to give their lives, NOT TO BILLY GRAHAM, but to Jesus the Christ.

There are many tributes that will be done in the days to come singing the praises of Reverend Graham.   I appreciated the NON=political stance that Reverend Graham although some say that his Republican views were evident.  All I can say is, this man allowed himself to be used by God to point millions in the direction of hope out of despair.  He is finally in HIS presence.  The one he wanted to see the most.  Rest in paradise Reverend Graham. Morning has come for you.
