I heard a commentary today on this very question and began to think about how we end up where we are. I believe it’s the result of our choices and actions. Those may be good choices or bad. So how do we end up making certain choices? Our choices are the result of our thoughts, meditations, and conversations (verbal and nonverbal). For example, no one ever plans to end up in jail, but it’s the result of their thoughts, meditations, and conversations which lead them to act in a certain way or find themselves around certain people. On the contrary, those who start a successful business are in that situation as a result of their thoughts, meditations, and conversations which led them to take certain actions and surround themselves with certain people.
If you ask yourself “who am I”, “where am I going” and “how will I get there”, you’ll be on your way to finding your path and ending up where you want to be. “Who Am I” will reveal your true mission or calling. “Where Am I Going” will clarify your vision and dreams. “How Will I Get There” will point you to setting realistic goals. We don’t just happen to end up in the right place or happen to land a million dollar acting role. We make choices that lead us there.
What choices do you need to make today to be where you want to be? Start the process to living in purpose and on purpose so you can be proud of the place where you end up.
