Lately I’ve been on an emotional roller coaster. I know I am ready to get off but I know these moments happen for me to learn a lesson. To grow. For God to hit me with a coconut that says “Do Better.” One lesson I am learning is to applaud myself. I often feel like those around you should keep you lifted up. They should be the one cheering the loudest. But people have their own valley moments where they can’t be there for you. It doesn’t mean they don’t care about your achievements or circumstances but they have the energy to cheer for you and encourage themselves.
So I am learning to applaud myself. To have such a thunderous sound that when I am tired or down I can still hear the sound that says:
“You got this.”
“You are awesome.”
“You are worthy.”
“You are doing an amazing job.”
