Transformative Thursdays: Gratefulness

In the busyness of life, we rarely take time to sit still and count our blessings.  So I decided to pause for a moment and reflect on a few of the blessings that have come into my life this year.  In 2016, I wrote and published two books.  I am thankful the Lord continues to use my writing as a means to inspire and encourage others on their journeys.  I ran my first 5K in April and supported Race for the Cure.  I’m thankful I am healthy and able to run.  I received my certification in personal development coaching and look forward to helping more people discover and live out God’s best in their lives.  I completed my first three day complete fast in January and received so much revelation from the Lord and learned the value in slowing down to sit and listen.  I’ve gained new friends and grown closer to family.  I’ve learned to appreciate life and the simple things.  I’m grateful for time with my children and husband.  I’m grateful for my church family and pastor.  I’m grateful for so many things.

What in your life are you grateful for?  What blessings did you experience in 2016?  It’s important to be grateful and regularly reflect on your blessings.  The more grateful you are, the less time you have to spend complaining.  Gratefulness allows you to enjoy life and not dread it.  Gratefulness frees you from stress and anxiety.  Gratefulness is good for the soul.  Grateful people are happier people.  Be grateful.
