Transformative Thursdays: The Making of an Olympian

The Olympics is a competitive showing of the world’s best athletes and fiercest competitors. They have practiced, sacrificed, and dedicated themselves to being the best for years. All their dedication is now on the line as they compete with others who are just as dedicated and fierce. What makes the gold medalists stand out from the bronze medalists? What makes the silver medalists stand out from the many who don’t win a medal? Of course there are many factors that separate the winners from those who don’t win a medal, but I wonder how many of us have ever wanted something so badly that we were willing to do WHATEVER it took to make it happen?

Have you ever taken a leap of faith, literally not knowing if you were going to succeed or fail? Have you ever wanted something so different in your life that you left your comfort zone? Have you sacrificed temporary luxuries or conveniences so you could achieve a goal? Well, here’s YOUR chance to prove to yourself and the world that you too are an Olympian! You have what it takes to achieve a “gold medal”–whatever it is your heart desires. You too can be the best and take the world by storm. You have the power to win and win big! So get out there and go to training camp!

Hard days are the best because that’s when champions are made.  If you push through the hard days, then you can get through anything. ~ Gabby Douglas, Olympic Gold Medalist
