We’ve all had those seasons in life when things were going well and suddenly, we hit a wall. We stopped progressing. Stopped dreaming. And we just started going through the motions of life. We lost hope and motivation.
“You were running superbly! Who cut in on you, deflecting you from the true course of obedience?” (Gal. 5:7 MSG)
This verse reminds us that we were well on our way to achieving our goals, but something or someone threw us off course and kept us from doing what we knew to do. We got distracted or we allowed someone to tell us we couldn’t do it. We decided it was easier to simply “go with the flow” and swim downstream. The person deflecting us may have even been ourselves! We may have lost confidence in our dreams and goals. Before we knew it, we hit a wall. Some of us hit it hard! Some of us got stuck.
It’s okay to hit the wall, but we can’t stay there. We have to find the courage to try again and the motivation to push beyond the obstacles. Don’t let anyone hinder your progress. Don’t swim downstream. Don’t lose hope. Don’t give up your fight. Hit the wall and come back with a renewed vigor to succeed!
