We’re halfway through another year which means it’s a good time to make a self-evaluation. Although it’s summer, and we tend to slack off and rest a little more, it’s a good time to see if we have accomplished any of the goals we set at the beginning of the year. If we fail to plan, we plan to fail. Without regular evaluation and assessment, we slip into routine and are usually not as effective. We must constantly motivate ourselves to do our best. It sounds so elementary, but think about how many times we had good intentions of doing something, only to fall off the wagon after the first two weeks.
Procrastination is one of life’s biggest stealers. It robs us of dream fulfillment, goals and ultimately, success. Make a commitment going forward that you will accomplish at least one of your goals this year. You have 6 months to get it done. Don’t give up. Press through mediocrity and get it done. Someone is waiting for you to complete your goal so they can complete theirs. Think about it. Who’s waiting on you?
While you enjoy the summer, take a moment and assess your life. Where do you want to go and how will you get there. Put your plans/goals on paper and get to it!

I just looked at my 2015 goals yesterday. I’ve gotten a few things done, but I have plenty of work to do. Thanks for the encouragement.
