Transformative Thursdays: Getting Unstuck Pt. IV

PART 1 | PART 2 | PART 3 | PART 4

Sometimes in order to get unstuck you simply need a fresh perspective. You have to step away from the norm and see something different. Change is good for all of us. It keeps us from getting stale and stagnate. Change keeps us from becoming irrelevant. Nothing rarely stays the same. Technology is always changing. Peoples’ tastes and preferences are always changing. Change keeps us moving.

A new perspective can be the catalyst for change. When you look in the mirror and don’t like the image you see, it forces you to change it or accept reality. When you see a dream you’ve always wanted, you will either go after it or settle for where you are. There’s really no middle ground.

A new perspective means stepping outside your comfort zone and embracing change. It means listening to others’ thoughts. It means embracing diversity. It means being flexible enough to avoid becoming ineffective. It means stepping back from the familiar and seeing what else is out there. It means seeing what it feels like to step out on faith. It means seeing how others made it and learning from their successes and weaknesses. Take a trip and refresh your mind. Read a book you wouldn’t normally read. Stretch yourself.

Step away today and look at your life from a different perspective. Take a step back so you can take a step forward and live the life you were created to live!

  1. What came to mind after reading this whole series was : F.E.A.R(false evidence appearing real). It can be paralyzing and can get you “stuck.” Fear of making decisions, saying no, rejection, change, fear of the unknown (just being in a new territory) , etc , all can cause you to get “stuck” in your mindset or in a situation if you allow it. The thing that sticks with me the most that I learned from this series is not to allow anything to prevent you from seeing it through until the end.
