This video is about way more than body image issues for me because I am in a season of deep reflection on my life as I know it.

I am black.

I am black and female.

I am black, female and married.

I am black, female, married and educated.

I am black, female, married, educated and Christian.

I am black, female, married, educated, Christian and American.

I have an eating disorder.

I battle depression and have done so the overwhelming majority of my life.

I am a cancer survivor.

I am a divorcée.

I am a daughter, sister, friend, aunt, cousin…

aspiring chef, writer, world changer…

I am all these things and more and that’s okay.

I embrace all that I am and I recommit to loving myself every single day.
