Anybody can be successful if they follow this strategy. True success and lasting success only comes from God and the use of His principles. It begins with prayer. Prayer is simply communicating with Him on a consistent basis with ears open to hear what He’s saying. It’s two-way communication of speaking and listening.
During prayer or shortly thereafter, instructions are given. This is the part where most people miss it. The instructions may seem difficult but that’s when we rely on help from the Holy Spirit. If you follow the instructions to a “T”, without any negotiation or shortcuts, you will have success.
Success always follows obedience. I’m reminded of the scripture that says, “If you are willing and obedient, you shall eat the good of the land.” If you have the desire and do what it takes in obedience, you will have your reward. That’s the “simple” strategy for success.
I remember when I was training for my first marathon, I began with a prayer for God’s guidance. I needed His help to be able to run that far and not fall out. 🙂 After I prayed, I was given a strategy or game plan. I knew I needed to begin running several times a week on a consistent basis. I needed to build up my endurance and eventually my speed. I began to implement the plan and overtime, I could run longer and faster. There were many times I wanted to quit. I thought I was crazy for even entertaining the idea that I could run 26.2 miles. But I pressed on. I registered for the race, which in my mind, committed me to showing up for the race and doing my best. With the Lord’s grace, I ran my first marathon and finished it! Success always comes when we are obedient. What rewards are awaiting your obedience? Start praying and doing TODAY!
