Three little letters.

Two simple words.

One sentence that changed my entire life.

There are some things you expect to change when you get married (name and address for instance).  But whew! I was completely unprepared for how much and how fast the changes would come.

I went from Gabrielle to Mommy in no time flat.  That size two body I used to have has morphed into a slightly larger, less taut form of itself.  My ponytail has morphed into an Afro puff.

And sure, some of those  physical changes might have occurred anyway, but there were other changes, too.

Marriage changed the way I worked and the way I worshipped.  Your prayer life takes on a new form when you are bound to someone for life.

Marriage changed the way I hurt and the way I handle it.  I generally lash out in anger.  But marriage has taught me that my punishing others for my pain, only causes more hurt.

Marriage changed the way I laughed and the way I loved. I no longer stifle my giggles behind a hand.  Now I laugh with my whole heart and I love with my entire being.

I do.  It changed me.  I’m still changing.  But I still do!
