It was my first time at Boomerang car wash. I ordered my wash and proceeded to the car wash. The instructions said to take your foot off the brake, remove your hands from the steering wheel and put your car in neutral. Once your car gets on the conveyor belt, the process begins. I’m a little hesitant and uncomfortable following those instructions when there is a car a foot in front of me and a car a foot behind me. It’s a little unnerving to allow my car to just simply roll through especially once the soap covers the windshield. I can’t see a thing and I have to rely on following the instructions I read. Foot off brake. Hands off steering wheel. Car in neutral. After a minute or so, the process is over and I have a clean car.

The lesson in the car wash is we have to trust the process and instructions God has given us. There will be tines of discomfort where instinct will try to kick in but trusting God through every situation will lead us to the reward/promise. Resist the urge to take the wheel and put the gear in drive. Let God be your navigator as you follow His instructions. Enjoy the ride and journey!

Proverbs 3:5 says, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not to your own understanding.”
