I fancied myself a writer.

I kept a pen and a notebook within arm’s reach. I was published in the local paper, the school literary magazine, and once, in college, i got an article posted to CNN.com.

Then life happened. Marriage, kids, a job…and writing became a luxury I could no longer afford. I hadn’t published anything in over 10 years when this project came along.

It is a challenge. I often post late at night from my I-phone. Many times the baby is asleep on my chest. Sometimes, I post on my lunch breaks at work. I do what it takes to make sure that there will be something for you all to read by Wednesday at 7.

Thanks for following along as I try to reclaim my voice as a writer.

Of the articles I’ve posted, my favorite was “A Lily in the Valley”, my tribute to my dad. In it, I discuss three of my greatest loves: faith, family, and food (or the lack thereof, in that particular blog.)
