I don’t care what anybody says. . . . I say that she was an Angel.” This is what I said to my son while discussing my sister in law who was laid to rest today (Friday, January 30 2014) after a brief bout with cancer. She was a wonderful woman who really understood loving unconditionally. I never saw her get cross with anyone. She always observed her surroundings and when needed, extended a helping hand.
She did not have a problem speaking her mind and when she did I never talked back because if she had something to say about a matter, it was wisdom that I should follow without question. Prudence is . . . was an Angel. There is no other way that I can understand the brevity of her life. God sent us an Angel whose assignment was to seek out our family and become a part. She married my oldest brother and poured ALL her love into his soul until she had nothing left and that was okay because it was the Love that GOD gave her to give to him and others in my family. Her task was for 58 years and 29 of those years she shared with my brother. She is now back at her first residence surrounded by her father, mother, and son. I am certain that JOY can not describe the feeling she is experiencing. I was a recipient of that love and I will cherish her memory for the rest of my life. She was my sister in law, sister in love, sister, confidant, FRIEND.
Tomorrow, January 31, 2015, my family will lay to rest another amazing angel. She was a champion for little children. My Aunt was an elementary school teacher for MANY years. There have been countless lives she has molded and guided on the journey called life. When her daughter passed, she was more concerned about how my Uncle was taking it. She sent me out to his recreational room to stay with him and keep him company. Needless to say my uncle was not too happy about me getting under foot but I was determined to do what my Aunt told me to do. I soon discovered how compassionate and loving my aunt is . . . was. She lived well beyond the promised days.
I will miss these FRIENDS! Here is my tribute to these priceless and irreplaceable friends.
