This week we are using famous quotes (or in my case mostly idioms) to tell a story so here goes…Don’t cry over spilled milk because you can’t teach an old dog new tricks.  You can lead a horse to water, but you can’t make him drink.  Who says you can’t make him drink? Yes, we can!  I got him to drink the water, but now he’s running around like a chicken with his head cut off!  Can you catch him and make him stop? There’s no stopping us (or them) now!  These dogs, horses, and chickens have been up since the crack of dawn and they show no signs of being tired.  They just keep going and going like the Energizer bunny.  Have you ever felt like these animals must feel—frustrated, tired, at your wits’ end, going in circles?  Well, sit down and take a load off and don’t take yourself so seriously.  Laugh at yourself.  Laugh at someone else (in good fun) and enjoy this wonderful day God has given us.
