I realize that many will be sharing their favorite blogs/vlogs, however, when one is going through a transition such as I, it is difficult to move away from certain subjects too quickly. Having said this, I just discovered that November 13, 2014 was Mom and Dad Day. Did you know that?
My mother and father meant the universe to me and now that I am in a different place, reflections of being blessed with Reverend Willie and Mrs. Wilmotine Gwyn as parents becomes even dearer to me. I was fortunate to have had my father with me for 44 years and my mother for 48 years. My father was 87 when he passed in 2011 and my mother, who passed in October of this year, was 85 (she would have been 86 in December of this year). They were blessed with longevity. I say blessed because it is rare in this day and time to live this long.
My parents had a love for others that was larger than life. So many people felt their love worldwide. Even now, when we look at their pictures, that love floods over each viewer. Their legacy of love was and still is amazing. I only hope that I can grow to have a remnant of the love for others that they exhibited their entire lives.
HAPPY BELATED MOM AND DAD DAY mom and dad. I know that you are watching over me (I only wish that I could feel those hugs again). Happy belated Mom and Dad day to all of the moms and dads out there.
NEVER FORGET TO CELEBRATE YOUR PARENTS for you only have them for a time.
