It all started with a phone call.
I remember the first conversation I had with my husband. I’m not talking about the awkward, empty talks we had as teenagers, but the conversation that started us on the journey that is the life we are building together.
That first conversation was a doozy! We hadn’t spoken in months, since the day he left for the Navy. And yet, we found ourselves discussing the future and forever.
We had never been on a date, never so much as held hands, and with one conversation, we changed the trajectory of our relationship.
Seventeen years and three kids later, we’re still talking about our future and forever.
I am ever mindful of the power of words as a result of that conversation.
Judeo-Christian beliefs teach that worlds were created at the vocal commands of God. He spoke and it was done.
‘Let there be light,’ He said and out of darkness, light appeared.
How incredible! From nothing to everything with just a few words.
A few words exchanged between my husband and I, and both our realities were altered.
God created the world with His words. Perhaps we can change the world with ours.
