I usually reject the notion that we have a singular moment in our lives that can affect the rest of our lives. I believe instead that we have quite a few defining junctures that can sway our direction in one way or the next. In The Circle Maker, Pastor Mark Batterson of National Community Church in Washington D.C. writes,
“You are only one defining decision away from a totally different life.”
He goes on to say that those defining decisions lead to defining moments. it is an interesting idea, and so instead of me expounding myself, I’d like to offer a space for you, the readers, to interface with this statement on a personal level. Should you feel like sharing your thoughts, please leave a comment, and I will be glad to discuss. Otherwise, I hope that it causes some measure of cognitive dissonance in you.
I know it has me thinking about upcoming decisions.
Be blessed today!
